Pink Floyd -- The Wall :: Lyrics :: We don't need no education.
We don't need no thought control.
No dark sarcasm in the classroom.
Teacher, leave those kids alone.
Hey, Teacher, leave those kids alone!
All in all it's just another brick in the wall.
All in all you're just another brick in the wall.
We don't need no education.
We don't need no thought control.
No dark sarcasm in the classroom.

Porsche Museum Treasure - the 550 Spyder
The Porsche 550 Spyder, which was first exhibited at the 1953 Paris Salon and featured the four-camshaft-engine developed by Dr. Ernst Fuhrmann, a four-speed transmission and a differential lock, was not only an immediate success but was also admired for its harmonious shape. Its light-alloy monocoque body, a so-called integral body-frame with floor frame, flowed smoothly from the front end, over the wings and to the rear. The flat frame consisted of welded tubing. Internally designated Type 547, the air-cooled 1,500-ccm four-cylinder engine was equipped with four overhead camshafts and had a power output of 110 bhp at 7,800 rpm. Thanks to ongoing further development, it represented the greatest trump card held by Porsche in motor racing until 1961.
This was demonstrated in the early 50s during the Carrera Panamericana in Mexico, a 3,000-km long-distance race across the country. This is where Porsche wrote a chapter in racing history — unintentionally at first. The main aim in 1954 was to prove the performance capability of the new 117-bhp engine with four camshafts in the 500 Spyder. Sponsor logos from Fletcher and Telefunken, the companies supporting racing director Huschke von Hanstein for the event in Mexico, also appeared for the first time on a Porsche factory car. With the passenger seat covered, the Spyder achieved sustained speeds of more than 200 km/h (124 mph) on the long straightaways of the Carrera Panamericana. The vehicle's low weight made it superior to most of its large-displacement rivals. Hans Hermann came in third and Jaroslav Juhan came in fourth overall behind the two Ferrari factory cars, which was an impressive double victory in the sports-car class up to 1,500 ccm.
Leica and Magnum: Photographs from the Streets of Chicago by Alex Webb by Leica Camera
Leica & Magnum: Photographs from the Streets of Chicago by Alex Webb from Leica Camera on Vimeo.
This photo essay, part of our collaboration with Magnum Photos, documents Alex Webb's exploration of Chicago and the Loop. Inspired in part by one of his early influences, Ray Metzker's "My Camera and I in the Loop," he explores the streets of the US's "Second City." Though unlike the street photographers of the so-called Chicago School (Callahan, Metzger, Sturr, Sterling), Alex Webb has chosen to photograph the city's multitudinous character in color. Having spent most of his 30 year long career shooting outside of the US, Alex Webb turns his lens to his home nation during this very important election year.

HANKSVILLE by lab35 FILMS
HANKSVILLE from lab35 FILMS on Vimeo.
A girl in the middle of nowhere has to find her way out. Time seems never to pass and as her wish of being somewhere else grows, a process of self awareness rises up.
This short movie was filmed in Utah, between its dusty landscapes. Hanksville is an actual striking town where we have shot over 90% of the takes. The creepy motel, that once was called "Desert Inn" Motel, is now a "protected area" for tin-dinosaurs, pieces of art by a local man, admired by the tourists. We had the chance to meet his sister and get the permission to shoot whatever we wanted to.
We have to thank all the people who helped us out and took part in this low budget film without asking anything in return.

Jacob Sutton's L.E.D. Surfer
Fashion photographer and filmmaker Jacob Sutton swaps the studio for the slopes of Tignes in the Rhône-Alpes region of south-eastern France, with a luminous after hours short starring Artec pro snowboarder William Hughes. The electrifying film sees Hughes light up the snow-covered French hills in a bespoke L.E.D.-enveloped suit courtesy of designer and electronics whizz John Spatcher. "I was really drawn to the idea of a lone character made of light surfing through darkness," says Sutton of his costume choice. "I've always been excited by unusual ways of lighting things, so it seemed like an exciting idea to make the subject of the film the only light source." Sutton, who has created work for the likes of Hermès, Burberry and The New York Times, spent three nights on a skidoo with his trusty Red Epic camera at temperatures of -25C to snap Hughes carving effortlessly through the deep snow, even enlisting his own father to help maintain the temperamental suit throughout the demanding shoot. "Filming in the suit was the most surreal thing I've done in 20 years of snowboarding," says Hughes of the charged salopettes. "Luckily there was plenty of vin rouge to keep me warm, and Jacob's enthusiasm kept everyone going through the cold nights."

Orange Bikes - It is what it is
Guy Martin is a British motorcycle racer and truck mechanic. Primarily a man of the road, he's one of the World's most talented riders and a constant favourite at the Isle of Man Tourist Trophy. Worldwide recognition through TT3D showed him at his witty and charismatic best, with his TV debut on BBC One's The Boat that Guy Built taking him to the mainstream. A man obsessed with industrial processes and the intricacies of manufacturing, Cut Media thought he'd be the ideal candidate for an Orange Bikes factory documentary...

Banksy's Exit Through The Gift Shop
Website: http://www.banksyfilm.com
This is the inside story of Street Art - a brutal and revealing account of what happens when fame, money and vandalism collide. Exit Through the Gift Shop follows an eccentric shop-keeper turned amateur film-maker as he attempts to capture many of the world's most infamous vandals on camera, only to have a British stencil artist named Banksy turn the camcorder back on its owner with wildly unexpected results.
One of the most provocative films about art ever made, Exit Through the Gift Shop is a fascinating study of low-level criminality, comradeship and incompetence. By turns shocking, hilarious and absurd, this is an enthralling modern-day fairytale... with bolt cutters.
